Burr Oak Motel has welcomed travelers on Highway 169 since 1972 — a low-rise motor inn about a mile south of downtown Algona. For more than fifty years it has been the kind of place people pull into after a long drive: simple rooms, a lit office, and a quiet night off the road.

The property was refreshed in 2005, and today it is family-run by the Modi family. The same highway stop, kept comfortable — free WiFi, parking, and 24/7 check-in for guests passing through Kossuth County or settling in for a few days.
